Start off your 2021 with a punk rager courtesy of…Vampire Weekend? Well, kind of.

Podcast hosts Sam Sutherland and Josiah Hughes, who talk about punk music on their series 155, have collected 25 punk covers of the Vampire Weekend song “2021” to celebrate the New Year.

“155 is a podcast about ‘punk’ songs,” the duo explains. “But we can turn any song into a ‘punk’ song if we feel like it. Here are some ‘punk’ versions of Vampire Weekend’s ‘2021.’”

The project caught the ear of VW frontman Ezra Koenig, who tweeted, “This rules.” You can listen to each of the 25 covers streaming now via the 155 Bandcamp page.

The original “2021” appears on Vampire Weekend’s latest album, 2019’s Father of the Bride.
