All Time Low has filed a libel lawsuit against a trio of social media users that uploaded posts accusing the band of sexual misconduct, Rolling Stone reports.

As previously reported, the “Monsters” outfit released a statement last October responding to unspecified “allegations being brought against us” — mentioning only a TikTok that accused the band members of “inappropriate behavior” — and denied them as “absolutely and unequivocally false.” The statement also promised that All Time Low would be “seeking legal recourse.”

The presumed TikTok, which is now private, featured a woman accusing an unnamed “famous pop punk band” of inviting her on their tour bus and offering her alcohol when she was 13, and trying to take her bra for their “nasty collection.”

Around the same time, an anonymous, now-suspended Twitter account shared a lengthy statement specifically accusing guitarist Jack Barakat of grooming, abuse and sexual assault. A tweet from another account claimed that there had been 97 allegations made against All Time Low.

In their lawsuit, which was obtained by Rolling Stone, All Time Low includes the posts of all three accounts, referred to in the documents as Doe 1, Doe 2 and Doe 3.

“[All Time Low] has no choice but to mobilize and utilize the civil court system to identify the culprits, prove that the defamatory statements are false, and seek justice,” the suit reads. “The purpose of the lawsuit is to establish the unambiguous truth and quash these malicious lies so that they won’t be repeated in the future.”

All Time Low had been on tour when they released their statement. At the time, opening bands nothing,nowhere. and Meet Me @ the Altar dropped off the bill.
