The assault charges against Tool drummer Danny Carey have been dropped, Pitchfork reports.

The charges stem from an incident that took place at the Kansas City airport in December 2021. Carey was arrested after allegedly getting in a fight with another individual.

According to a citation obtained by Billboard, Carey also used a homophobic slur during the alleged altercation.

ABC Audio has reached out to a rep for Tool for comment.
