Sound the alarm: Rivers Cuomo‘s collaborating with Royal & the Serpent.

The Weezer frontman and the “Overwhelmed” artist are both featured on a new song called “Sound the Alarm,” recorded by electronic duo The Knocks. You can download it now via digital outlets.

“We are so honored and thrilled to be collaborating with such talented artists,” The Knocks say. “Both Rivers and Royal brought a unique energy and sound that complimented each other so well.”

“With ‘Sound the Alarm,’ we wanted to capture the feeling of letting go and the freedom that it provides,” they add. “The production is rooted in electronic music, but it was a fun challenge to find the balance between both of their musical styles and ours and create something new that is uniquely all of us.”

You may also know The Knocks from their collaborations with Foster the People, including “Ride or Die” and “All About You.” The two groups also released a joint covers EP this past March.
