The 1975 has canceled all of the band’s 2021 touring plans amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement posted to their Twitter, Matty Healy and company write, “We are really sorry to announce that we have made the decision to cancel all scheduled touring for 2021.”

“These are incredibly difficult times for a lot of people,” the statement reads. “And until we can be sure that we will be able to play shows in a way that is safe for our fans and crew, we have decided the best course of action is to cancel our touring so that, where possible, everyone can get their tickets refunded sooner rather than later.”

In better news, The 1975 is taking that off-road time to make another new album to follow 2020’s Notes on a Conditional Form.

The 1975’s announced 2021 dates included a number of stops in the U.S. and Europe.
