The Gaslight Anthem is officially, fully back.
In a tweet Friday morning, “45” rockers announced that they’re “returning to full time status as a band.”
“We’ll be announcing a lot of tour dates in the next couple of days,” the tweet reads. “We’re also beginning to write new songs for what will be our sixth LP.”
“We’re looking forward to the future and seeing you all again,” the band added. “We want to thank you for staying with us.”
The news comes nearly seven years after Gaslight went on an indefinite hiatus in 2015, a year after the release of their most recent album, 2014’s Get Hurt. The New Jersey group briefly reunited in 2018 for a run of shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of their beloved 2008 album, The ’59 Sound.
While Gaslight has been inactive, frontman Brian Fallon has released four solo albums, the most recent of which being 2021’s Night Divine.
