Forget the Suicide Squad: we almost had a super team-up between the Joker and the “bad guy.”

Jared Leto revealed in an interview on Tuesday’s The Late Late Show that he originally wanted to sign a then-unknown Billie Eilish and her brother/collaborator, Finneas.

Calling in remotely from Nevada, the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman told host James Corden that he originally became aware of the future chart-conquering pair through a producer and agent friend.

“They weren’t signed, and I thought that maybe I would try and sign them,” Leto explained.

“They were so incredibly talented and just special people,” the rocker/actor added. “The music is one thing, but I think they’re just incredibly intelligent, really empathetic, just really good people. I quite like them a lot.”

Leto also shared that he asked Eilish and Finneas to perform at his house once for a small party, which was attended by his fellow Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I remember Leo DiCaprio was there and a couple of other people and they were just, like, ‘How did you find these people…who are they?'” Leto recalled. “Everyone was just jaws on the floor.”

Eilish recently released a new single called “Lo Vas a Olvidar” in collaboration with Spanish musician Rosalía. That followed her trio of 2020 songs: “Therefore I Am,” “my future” and the James Bond theme “No Time to Die.”

Thirty Seconds to Mars’ most recent album is 2018’s AMERICA.
