The Killers just released their new album Imploding the Mirage last Friday, but the “Mr. Brightside” rockers are already eyeing a follow-up.
Speaking to NME, frontman Brandon Flowers reveals that the group just went back into the studio.
“You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are,” Flowers says. “We’re going to release another one in about 10 months.”
Flowers credits the creative outburst to being unable to tour amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I had a lot of time on my hands,” he says. “Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”
Imploding the Mirage is the follow-up 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful. It features the singles “Caution” and “My Own Soul’s Warning.”
