In between his work in bands including The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, Omar Rodríguez-López has been a prolific solo artist. And not just prolific, over 50 albums in 20 years prolific.
Amor de Frances is a new vinyl box set collecting Rodríguez-López’s extensive solo work and includes a total of 57 albums that have been recorded over the past two decades, two of which are previously unreleased.
The package costs $1,599 and will be limited to just 500 copies. It’ll be released on December 4, and preorders open on October 30.
If that’s all a little rich for your blood, the 57 albums will also be available to purchase individually on vinyl.
The Mars Volta, meanwhile, put out a new, self-titled album in 2022, marking their first studio effort in 10 years. They released a reworked version of the record, dubbed Qué Dios Te Maldiga Mí Corazón, in April.
