The Regrettes have dropped “Anxieties (Out of Time),” another new song from their forthcoming album, Further Joy.

Frontwoman Lydia Night says of the song, written at the start of the pandemic, that “it encapsulates that impending doom, when it felt like everything in front of me was terrifying. This was before I was even diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. I think a lot of people experienced similar feelings at the beginning of the world shutting down. The chorus is a reflection of that, we wanted it to sound like an anxious, panic attack pace like you’re running out of time and it feels like that to me.”

“Anxieties (Out of Time)” also comes with a new video, which looks more than a little like the B-52s ran head-first into Pee-wee’s Playhouse. Both the single and video come about three weeks after The Regrettes released the song “That’s What Makes Me Love You.”

Further Joy, the group’s third studio effort — the follow-up to 2019’s How Do You Love? — also includes the previously released songs “Monday” and “You’re So F***ing Pretty.” It arrives April 8.

The Regrettes also recently announced a new batch of U.S. headlining tour dates for April and May, for which tickets are on sale now. Visit TheRegrettes.com for more info.
