Monday: Alex Mullins – Lincoln
Alex Mullins is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Phoenix Arizona. Alex has been playing throughout Arizona as well as the greater southwest for the past 5 years both solo and with his former band, Alex Mullins and The Royal. After the Disbanding of The Royal in 2017, Alex resumed his solo career with a folk, funk, soul and pop flare that stays true to his roots from growing up to the sounds of Queen, U2 and countless others. He has opened for Secondhand Serenade, Ronnie Winter -Defoe of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Charming Liars. Tuesday: All New Hopes – Liar
All New Hopes is an alternative rock band inspired by bands like Panic at the Disco, Thirty Seconds to Mars, & Beartooth. The band consists of Joe Vargas (vocals), Tristan Telischuk (guitar), Dillon Andrews (drums), and their newest member Gannon Hart (bass). They released their first two originals “Father Father” & “The Last Time” in 2016, and released “Direction” in April of 2018. Their latest EP “Dead to Me” is set to release on February 22nd and you can see em live Sunday March 3rd at The Rebel Lounge. Follow ANH on Twitter and Instagram. Wednesday: Deadbeat Cousins – Mexico
The Deadbeat Cousins are a 4 piece blues rock band from Mesa, AZ. They are lifelong friends that decided that the world needed more blues rock. With influences like The Black Keys, Gary’s Clark Jr, and JD McPherson, the Deadbeat Cousins strive to make tunes that bodies can’t help but move to. Thursday: LUAU – Discrete Company
With a dynamic blend of textured guitars, driving rhythm section, and honest open lyrics delivered through emotive vocals, indie alt-rock outfit LUAU channel genre pioneers in crafting their brand of vibrant and heartfelt sounds. The Tempe, Ariz. based group is comprised of vocalist and guitarist Evan Hallock, guitarist Chad Bergman, bassist Chris Windsor, and drummer Joel Knight. Recording with Matt Keller (Lydia), the band’s debut EP, Gone, was met with positive reviews upon its release in April 2017. Meanwhile, the EP’s first single, Anchor, received press and radio coverage as the band began to build a buzz with their live shows throughout the southwest. Music critic Ed Masley at the Arizona Republic/azcentral.com says, “(Anchor) definitely left me wanting to hear more of what they have to offer. It starts with the strum of a single guitar underscoring a bittersweet lead vocal backed by a really nice harmony and takes on additional layers and urgency from there on its way to an anthemic chorus hook.” LUAU will release their sophomore EP “Nothing to Say” with George White (Saddles) on Friday, March 8th at the Rebel Lounge w/ Celebration Guns, Sleeping Lessons (Seattle), MRCH and DJ A Claire Slattery. They’re also doing a listening party at The Whining Pig in Arcadia Friday, February 22nd.
