Monday: Baseline – Grudges
Baseline is a five piece pop punk band from Mesa, Arizona. The group formed in the summer of 2015 and immediately began producing original material. Their first song titled “Fragments” appeared in January of 2016 and quickly turned many skeptical listeners into die hard fans. Exactly three months later another single called “Last Years Tragedy” was released and further expanded their ever growing fan base. On October 21st 2016, after spending the entire summer writing and recording, their debut EP “Not In The World, But Inside My Head” was made available to the public. Following that the boys sold out their EP release at a 350 cap venue. Tuesday: Fairy Bones – Hang Wit Da Boiz
After being named “Best Local Band” of 2015 by Phoenix New Times, the group of colorful misfits has been lighting up the stage as support for KONGOS, St Lucia, Mother Mother, Marcy Playground, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm, and Kyle Gass Band. Paste declared Fairy Bones a “four-piece art/glam/rock monster” while praising lead singer Chelsey Louise’s “incomparable pipes,” which they noted, “Few rock voices today can compare, of any gender.”
Imagine epic, dramatic alternative-pop songs sent out to the back rows of a stadium by a charismatic force of nature who could more than hold her own against whatever Florence Welch could throw her way, sharing space on a stunning debut with songs that filter lofty art-rock sensibilities through the reckless abandon of punk.
That was “Dramabot,” the debut album with which Fairy Bones confirmed their standing on the front ranks of the Phoenix music scene. Together with Bob Hoag (The Format, Scary Kids Scaring Kids), tucked away at the infamous Flying Blanket Studio, Fairy Bones managed to craft an album that surpassed all of their wildest expectations.
They are now coming back into the proverbial spotlight with the release of their single “No One Can Suffer Like I Can” and giving fans a taste of what to expect in 2018 with their sophomore album, “0% Fun.” Catch Fairy Bones this Thursday at Yucca Tap Room and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Wednesday: Nothing on the Moon – Always Traveling
Nothing On The Moon (NOTM) established in 2013, is a moody energetic altrock band whose songs use catchy hooks, memorable lyrics, saxophone, and rich guitar tones to capture their message. ABOUT YOU is their sophomore release out now on Spotify and Apple Music produced with the help of Matt Keller (Lydia, WLFPCK). Written primarily the fall of 2017 while singer/guitarist Brandon Simoes was out traveling with Anarbor for their east coast tour, ABOUT YOU is for anyone who has gone through something crazy in their lives. Thursday: No Refills – L.A. Days
No Refills brings you nostalgic pop-punk music from Phoenix, AZ. With influences from bands like Green Day, New Found Glory, Blink 182, and Four Year Strong, No Refills brings something new to the pop-punk forefront. Tyler Drosendahl is on Guitar/Vocals, Adam West is on Drums, and Matthew Bacsalmasi is on Bass/Vocals.
