Monday: Whstle – Fool For Love

WHSTLE

WHSTLE is a Phoenix-based band that combines powerful electronic hits with eclectic folk rock anthems. Band members Saydi, Will & Jake draw from their pop/rock, electronic, and soulful singer-songwriter roots to create a cinematic vibe with intimate lyrics. Catch WHSTLE  at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15th and on FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Tuesday: Baseline – All In Vain

Baseline for the sake of clarity

Baseline is a five piece pop punk band from Mesa, Arizona. The group formed in the summer of 2015 and immediately began producing original material. Their first song titled “Fragments” appeared in January of 2016 and quickly turned many skeptical listeners into die hard fans. Exactly three months later another single called “Last Years Tragedy” was released and further expanded their ever growing fan base. On October 21st 2016, after spending the entire summer writing and recording, their debut EP “Not In The World, But Inside My Head” was made available to the public. Following that the boys sold out their EP release at a 350 cap venue. Catch them at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15th and on FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Preview their song “All In Vain” below then vote to hear it again for Song of the Week at the bottom of the page!

Wednesday: Playboy Manbaby – I Love Myself

Playboy Manbaby

Playboy Manbaby is a 6 piece punk band from Phoenix, AZ. The band consists of Robbie Pfeffer (vocals), Chris Hudson (bass), TJ Friga (guitar), David Cosme (trumpet), Chad Dennis (drums), and Austin Rickert (sax). Playboy Manbaby is the contradictory soundtrack to the contemporary life experience. Grimly sarcastic yet youthfully nihilistic music that seems to crash into things with a semi-coherent deliberation that can only be generated by a group of frail but over-caffeinated and eternally anxious young adults. Playboy Manbaby is the theme song to the sentiment “what the fuck am I doing with my life?” Indecisive in both message and genre but never lacking in sheer intensity. You can catch Playboy Manbaby at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15th and on FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Preview their song “I Love Myself” then vote to hear it again for the Song Of The Week at the bottom of the page.

Thursday: Jared & The Mill – Soul In Mind

Jared and the mill band photo

“Howdy, We are Jared & The Mill. All of us were born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and we still call it home today. When we first got started in the summer of 2011 we just wanted to play some music with our best buds, play a few shows, and have a good time. Jared and Michael had been buddies and playing music together since they were kids, and after they met up with another childhood duo Josh Morin and Larry Gast III, and connected with Chuck Morris III and Gabe Hall Rodriguez through mutual friends, the band was born. As things go we were soon hammering along in the local scene, playing alongside the bands of new friends and old throughout Arizona. The wheels kept turning, and before we knew it we had over three years of touring under our boots; playing in the living rooms, dive bars, venues, theaters, music festivals, and even arenas of this big ol’ country of ours alongside fellow upcoming bands, and with some of the biggest acts we had always looked up to. Somehow, with the
unparalleled guidance of Mr. Ryan Hewitt, his insistence to record everything that we could live, alongside the good vibes we felt in those studios, we think we’ve delivered that energy to you on “Orme Dugas”. So here we are, with new music to release, a sound that’s grown, and another busy year ahead. We’re eager as hell to share it with all of you. In the mean time, go see a band, never take yourself too seriously, and love each other with all ya got. As always, and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for listening. We’ll see you down the road, Jared & The Mill”
Catch Jared and the mill at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15thon FacebookTwitter and Instagram.  Don’t forget to preview their song “Soul In Mind” then vote for your fave local band to get a replay on Friday for Song of the Week.
