Tuesday: Baseline – All In Vain
Baseline is a five piece pop punk band from Mesa, Arizona. The group formed in the summer of 2015 and immediately began producing original material. Their first song titled “Fragments” appeared in January of 2016 and quickly turned many skeptical listeners into die hard fans. Exactly three months later another single called “Last Years Tragedy” was released and further expanded their ever growing fan base. On October 21st 2016, after spending the entire summer writing and recording, their debut EP “Not In The World, But Inside My Head” was made available to the public. Following that the boys sold out their EP release at a 350 cap venue. Catch them at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15th and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Wednesday: Playboy Manbaby – I Love Myself
Playboy Manbaby is a 6 piece punk band from Phoenix, AZ. The band consists of Robbie Pfeffer (vocals), Chris Hudson (bass), TJ Friga (guitar), David Cosme (trumpet), Chad Dennis (drums), and Austin Rickert (sax). Playboy Manbaby is the contradictory soundtrack to the contemporary life experience. Grimly sarcastic yet youthfully nihilistic music that seems to crash into things with a semi-coherent deliberation that can only be generated by a group of frail but over-caffeinated and eternally anxious young adults. Playboy Manbaby is the theme song to the sentiment “what the fuck am I doing with my life?” Indecisive in both message and genre but never lacking in sheer intensity. You can catch Playboy Manbaby at the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at The Van Buren, Saturday, December 15th and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Preview their song “I Love Myself” then vote to hear it again for the Song Of The Week at the bottom of the page.
