Tool has officially premiered “Opiate2,” a 10-minute “re-imagined and extended” rendition of the band’s 1992 song, “Opiate.”
The new recording is being released to celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of Tool’s debut EP, Opiate, which originally dropped March 10, 1992.
“Opiate2” will be accompanied by a short film, which will mark Tool’s first official music video in 15 years. It’ll be available March 18 exclusively on Blu-ray.
In the meantime, you can listen to “Opiate2” in all of its 10-minute glory now via digital outlets.
Tool is currently touring in continued support of the band’s 2019 album, Fear Inoculum. The outing continues Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
