Netflix is looking to buy cinemas!

Netflix, the movie streaming service that everyone seems to be chilling to is looking to buy up some movie theaters. The streaming service plans on swooping some up in LA to help their chances in securing major awards like the Oscars for their original content. Recently, they had some submissions pulled out of the Cannes Film Festival because their original content had not run in theaters, making it ineligible. But with amazing, original movies like: Beasts of No Nation, Okja, Mudbound and Bright; They should have a chance to win. So long as no Adam Sandler movies win. 

First full trailer for Sony’s Venom

Finally, a new, full on Trailer for Venom is here! So for those of you that don’t know about Venom, Eddie Brock’s a journalist that’s forced to fuse with an alien symbiote that struggles for control, as they end up fighting crime together.  In this new trailer we see a lot more of Venom vs. Tom Hardy, who plays Eddie Brock, as well as how he discovered the alien symbiote. Venom is schedule to release October 5th this year.

Bruce Campbell is officially retiring from the character Ash

Bruce Campbell, The king of the Evil Dead movies that we hailed for so long is officially retiring as Ash from the Evil dead series.  After word that Starz was cancelling Ash Vs The Evil Dead series he tweeted out saying he appreciates the fans effort but he’s retired as Ash. Hopefully it’s not the end of Bruce Campbell and all his glory but you can see the final episode of Ash Vs the Evil Dead this upcoming Sunday night on Starz.

 

AMC will be offering $5 movies this summer!

Since it’s basically summer time already, we’re definitely going to want to be escaping away to a movie! Lucky for us, AMC Theaters have announced the return of $5 movies! Not only are they bringing back $5 Tuesday Movies but they’re also offering a $5 popcorn and drink special with it too! $10 bucks seems like the perfect escape from the heat w/ AC and feature films…

 

New Star Wars animated series!

Great News Star Wars fans, Lucasfilm has announced their new Star Wars animated series! The new show focus on a young pilot recruited by the Resistance  named Kazuda Xiono, whose mission is to spy on the growing threat of the First Order. Get this, Oscar Issacs will reprise his role as Poe Dameron and Gwendeloine Christie is back as Captain Phasma plus BB-8! There’s no premiere date yet, but it’s certainly exciting news! I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
