New updated Chia Pets are coming! 


NECA Toys, company known for their horror/sci-fi action figures, purchased Chia Pets, the creative planter pots that sprouts leafy greens in place of hair. Well they’re branching out with new pop-culture references like Stranger Things, Golden Girls and Predator; Chia Pets! They even have some hilarious ones of Gizmo from Gremlins. They are even working on gathering licenses approvals for Rick and Morty and Guardians of the GalaxyIf you’re bad at keeping plants alive like me, you’ll be happy to know these are easy to manage.

We’re getting more Rugrats!


There’s been talk of Nickelodeon reviving “Rugrats” for a while now . . . and yesterday, they announced plans to do another 26-episode season.  Which is cool, but they’re also developing a live-action MOVIE. Technically, it’s live-action with CGI characters… The movie is a couple years away. No word on if they’ll still be rug rats or rug adults but it’s tentatively scheduled to come out on November 13th, 2020. It sounds like the show will debut before that, but there’s no premiere date yet.

The Girl Scouts of America are getting some STEM badges! 


The girl scouts of the USA announced they’re adding 30 new badges to push their troops to take on key 21st century issues. Badges will be available exclusively for girls between the ages of five and 18 for efforts and advocacy in cybersecurity, robotics, computer science, space exploration, and the environment. Basically we’re gonna get a bunch of super genius girls like Shuri from Black Panther…

Shuri from Black Panther is getting her own comic book! 


Shuri, the super genius sister of T’Challa, she’s getting her own comic book. We all know how genius Shuri is in the MCU but in this comic, it’ll focus on her dealing with the massive tragedy of T’Challa lost in space. Since she’s next in line for the throne, she’s torn between ruling Wakanda and trying to advance her country with scientific advancements.

Star wars: The Clone Wars is returning! 


San Diego Comic Con is in full swing and Nerdgasm News will continue to pour in! One of the first bits of news we got was from Lucasfilm and the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The 10th anniversary panel ended up surprising fans with some big news on the return of Clone Wars! Disney’s bringing back Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi after being cancelled back in 2013. The new Clone Wars is set to return on Disney’s untitled streaming service sometime in 2019.
