Solo: A Star Wars Story is in theaters!

Solo: A Star Wars Story is out this week and leading up to the release, this movie has had the odds against them. From director changes, to rumors of an acting coach for Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), its been messy. But this is DISNEY we’re talking about, people. After Ron Howard replaced both Phil Lord and Chris Miller, 70% of the movie had to re shot just to restore that Star Wars feel, which he NAILED. All I can say this is one of my favorite heist films that takes place in a galaxy far, far away. Han Solo is like the Baby Driver of space, this movie sheds light on how Han became Han. From being a young, arrogant street thief with Emilia Clark (Qi’ra), to mining the planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium in less than 12 parsecs. All of this happens while meeting some classic characters during their adventure, both new and old. Between Woody Harrelson, Thadie Newton and Donald Glover, there’s never a dull moment. Plus, we get the first ever female droid voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (She’s so good!) And can we talk about Lando Calrissian?! Donald Glover embodied the grace and charm of original star Billie Dee Williams. Very Colt 45. Even before walking into the theater, I had in my mind Glover would steal the show, but luckily, he was just the cherry on top of Alden’s rebellious performance. All in all, I highly suggest giving this a chance, or Han will shoot… first.
