
Avengers: Infinity War has made $1 Billion
Well congratulations Marvel, ya did it again… ya made movie history by breaking the global box office record of 1 billion bucks in 11 days! That record was previously held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which surpassed the billion dollar mark in 12 days. The only record to break next is James Cameron’s Avatar which holds the highest grossing movie of all time of 2.7 billion which should be easy considering that movie was basically a longer version of fern gully.
DC has announced the name of their streaming service as well as revealed the title cards of the shows!
The DC universe announced earlier this year they’re beginning their own streaming service and now, we’ve finally got some deets. We now know, it will be called DC Universe, and the shows they’re kicking it off with: Check this out… Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, Harley Quinn, and Swamp Thing. DC says that there will be much more added to the service (I imagine the Arrowverse will be headed to it in place of Netflix).
Bill and ted 3 is officially happening!!
It’s official… The Wyld Stallions are coming to theaters! This should come as no surprise since we’ve been talking about it randomly for the past month. Both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back as middle aged dudes trying to save the universe, their marriages and their relationship with their kids so they write a song to save the universe. The official title is Bill and Ted Face The Music, and will be produced by Steven Soderbergh and Dean Parisot directing.
The Internet has an expiration date: June 11th.
Finally, we officially have to say goodbye to Net Neutrality starting June 11th. The FCC plans on replacing the net neutrality rules with next to nothing. Instead rules stopping internet providers from dividing the internet up into fast and slow lanes and prioritizing their own content, the so called “rules” allows internet providers to block, throttle, and prioritize content if they want to. The only thing they do have to do is publicly disclose any of this behavior. Personally, I really hope internet companies don’t block useful information in whatever area they please. For instance, folks that can afford the internet with access to all content is great while those that can’t are stuck with limited access to only certain websites. It’s a mess…
Rick and Morty are officially getting 70 more episodes!
Adult Swim’s animated intergalactic classic Rick and Morty have been renewed for another 70 episodes! Creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are now officially able to work on Season 4 but no word on when the show will return. The news was shared via Roiland’s Instagram where he showed a quick sketch of the characters.
