Trent Reznor, Jared Leto among Golden Globe nominees

Trent Reznor and Jared Leto are among the nominees for the 2021 Golden Globe Awards, which were announced Wednesday morning.

The Nine Inch Nails frontman and his band mate Atticus Ross are nominated in the Best Original Score — Motion Picture category for their scores of the David Fincher movie Mank and the Disney/Pixar film SoulThe Late Show bandleader Jon Batiste, who also wrote music for Soul, is nominated as well.

Meanwhile, Thirty Seconds to Mars vocalist Leto is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film The Little Things.

Reznor and Ross previously won a Golden Globe for their The Social Network score, and were nominated for their scores for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl. All three of those films were also directed by Fincher.

Leto is also already a Golden Globe winner — he took home the Supporting Actor prize for his performance in 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club, which also won him an Oscar.

The 2021 Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air live February 28 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
