Twenty One Pilots won the award for Favorite Artist — Alternative Rock at Sunday’s 2020 American Music Awards.
The “Stressed Out” duo took home the prize over fellow nominees Billie Eilish and Tame Impala. While Eilish, who was also nominated in the Favorite Social Artists category, didn’t win any AMAs this year, she did give her new single, “Therefore I Am,” its debut performance during the ceremony.
Other performers included Machine Gun Kelly, who was joined by Blink-182‘s Travis Barker for renditions of “Bloody Valentine” and “My Ex’s Best Friend,” and 24kGoldn and iann dior, who played their hit single, “Mood.”
Ahead of the show, Kelly and girlfriend Megan Fox made their red carpet debut. The actress also introduced MGK’s performance.
