Vance Joy has released a new single called “Don’t Fade.”
“I wrote ‘Don’t Fade’ with my friend and frequent songwriting partner Dave Bassett toward the end of 2019,” Vance says. “It came as a surprise and felt like a special discovery. I like writing about that feeling of timelessness you get when you’re with someone you love.”
The “Riptide” artist adds that writing “Don’t Fade” marked the “starting point” for his next album, the follow-up to 2018’s Nation of Two.
“I knew I was on a path somewhere once this song came along,” he says.

“Don’t Fade” follows Vance’s 2021 single, “Missing Piece.”
