Alice Merton‘s new single, “Vertigo,” shares its name with a famous Alfred Hitchcock film, so what better place to play it than a movie theater?

That’s exactly what the “No Roots” singer does in her new video for “Vertigo,” which finds Merton and her band performing the track while standing amid the empty seats at Kino International theater in Berlin.

The performance, dubbed “Vertigo (The Cinema Session),” is streaming now on YouTube.

“Vertigo” was released earlier this month. It follows Merton’s 2019 album, Mint, which features her breakout hit “No Roots,” as well as the singles “Lash Out” and “Funny Business.”
