Foals have premiered the video for “2am,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Life Is Yours.
The colorful clip reflects the frantic lyrics of the song as it sticks frontman Yannis Philippakis in a maze of dancers as he tries his very best to escape and return home.
“The moment I spoke to [director] Tanu [Muiño,] she was interested in the repetition of the lyrics, which is symbolic of being stuck in repeated patterns of bad behavior,” Philippakis says. “She wanted to visualize that with labyrinths and maze-like loops.”

Life Is Yours, which will also feature the single “Wake Me Up,” is due out this summer. It’s the follow-up to 2019’s two-part Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost.
