Portugal. the Man has shared a performance video for the band’s song “Lay Me Back Down,” recorded as part of the upcoming Oregon City Sessions album.
Oregon City Sessions captures a 2008 in-studio performance by PtM, which at that point had only been a band for a bit over two years. The set has long been sought-after by Portugal. the Man fans, who’ve been waiting for its eventual official release since it was first recorded.
“Lay Me Back Down,” a track off PtM’s 2008 album Censored Colors, is one of 15 songs performed during Oregon City Sessions, which was recorded without any re-takes or overdubs.
“It was such an important song for us,” frontman John Gourley says of “Lay Me Back Down. “We had finished our deal with Fearless Records and recorded this all on our own. It represents the freedom we created by doing it ourselves.”

Oregon City Sessions will finally be released on April 16 via digital outlets. It’ll arrive on physical formats June 11.
Portugal. the Man’s most recent album is 2017’s Woodstock, which features the mega-hit “Feel It Still.”
