Grandson is officially a platinum-certified artist.

According to the RIAA database, the musician’s single “Blood//Water” officially passed the one million units threshold on February 2, giving him his first ever Platinum single.

“WAIT WHAT,” grandson tweeted in all caps in response to the news. “WE DID THAT THE GRANDKIDS DID THAT AND WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED.”

“Blood//Water” was originally released in 2017. It was grandson’s first single to hit the Billboard charts, and was remixed by artists including Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello and AWOLNATION.

Grandson released his debut album, Death of an Optimist, last December. It includes the single “Dirty.”
