WILLOW has shared another preview of her forthcoming album, .
The latest cut is titled “Split” and is available now via digital outlets.
Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, WILLOW shares that “Split” filled the record’s need for “some emotional rock ballads” to contrast its mostly “high octane,” “hardcore” and “just intense” vibe.
“There were moments where I was like, ‘Oh no, I want to keep this crazy energy,’ but it needed the variety, it needed the balance,” WILLOW says. “But it is definitely a softer take on the sound of the album.”
drops this Friday, October 7. It’s the follow-up to 2021’s lately I feel EVERYTHING, which spawned the single “Transparent Soul.”
The day after the album arrives, WILLOW will perform on Saturday Night Live.
